Daisies in a Jar | Texture Tuesday
Do you have a favorite flower? Even though I’ve never met a flower I didn’t like, daisies are by far my favorite. Just the simple white with yellow centers. It cheers me so much to look at them. So simple and so perfect. When I was in high school, my boyfriend was so happy I like daisies. While everyone else was spending big bucks to get their girlfriend roses for Valentine’s Day, my guy had it easy with inexpensive daisies.
Daisies make me think of cottages, with worn wooden tables, windows thrown open to catch the breeze, big farmhouse sinks. They have to go in the simplest of vases – mine are almost always in some ball jar of some kind.
For this photo, I used Kim Klassen’s warm whisper texture at 22% soft light.

Textured Pink Daisies | Texture Tuesday
I don’t think I’m the only one who finds flowers a little past their prime just as interesting as when they were fresh. I love the way they softly drop, closing their petals in. Also, I hope I’m not the only one who buys various assorted liquids just because of the bottle they come in. See that lovely pale pink bottle above? That was a bottle of sake! I just had to have it for that sweet, sweet bottle. My husband just sighs as I load up the cart with things bought solely because I want to use the bottle for a vase. Oh, don’t worry, we drank the sake, it’s not like I poured it out or anything 🙂
