The fall colors at the Chateau St. Michelle Vineyards were amazing!
Pike Place Market Strawberries
It wasn’t just the flowers that caught my eye at Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Everything was so lush. Just look at these deep strawberries.
Flowers at Pike Place Market
As someone who regularly buys grocery store bouquets, I can say that I would be in heaven if I lived in Seattle and had acces to the flowers at Pike Place Market! Gorgeous!
Elephant Seals in San Simeon California
I know it’s hard to see, but lining the edge of the coast are the elephant seals. The look like white rocks, but the are the seals. This was the view looking out on the coast from where we were standing. The rest of the photos are looking down on all the seals, right at the edge.
San Simeon and the Elephant Seals
When we looked places to stop on trip up the Pacific Coast Highway, we read that we must stop in San Simeon and see the elephant seals. We did and saw this adorable baby. We thought, “Oh, how cute a baby seal, and took a few photos.” Then, we wondered closer and saw huge waves of them all sleeping together, or fighting, or doing both simultaneously!
Somewhere Along The Pacific Coast Highway
We travelled the Pacific Coast Highway from South to North, making it more of a challenge, but less scary for someone who is terrified of heights like me. So, we didn’t pull off probably as much as we would have had we been going in the other direction. This was one of our first pull-offs. Somewhere between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. I love a rocky coast so much more than a beachy coast.
From the same location as the first photo, I turned and saw this woman sitting on a rock reading. If I lived in California, this is where you would find me. Sitting in some gorgeous location, reading.
