I don’t know if I’ve told you before, but I’m a bit of a collector. Collector – that sounds much better than hoarder, don’t you think? I think some people are born gatherers. We gather things around us that bring us joy, until we have too much stuff and then we send bags and boxes full of things off to people of need. I can’t help it, when I like something, if a little is good, a lot is better. I’m trying to get away from that mindset and have fewer, but more meaningful things.
What this has to do with this lovely white rose is the vintage salt shaker glass bottle that it is sitting in. For awhile, I scooped up vintage glass salt and pepper shakers whenever I could find them. Now, I have probably about 20 pairs of them. When you take off their silver tops the little jars make the most perfect little vases for single flowers. This is a little tea rose and the glass bottle is about 4 inches tall. They sit on my windowsill, not blocking the view, but adding a sweet bit of loveliness to it.
